Word Substitution Game

This is a game based on something Lynne’s mother, a primary school teacher, used to play with her when she was younger.

Whilst the child is reading a book, they can substitute words beginning with C, R and/or S.  1-3 words can be substituted at a time, depending on the ability of the child.  Words beginning with C can be substituted for the words Cloud or Candy Cane, R for Rainbow or Reindeer/Rudolph and S for Star or Santa.
